Counselling and therapy fees
What a session costs, with no need to enquire first
Sessions at Safe Expanse are $160–$240 SGD per session. Individual therapy is $160–$200; couples, family and children’s sessions are priced separately. Your fee depends on which therapist you see and the type of session — the full table is below. There is no separate assessment or intake charge.
Adult sessions run 60 or 90 minutes, and children’s sessions are 50 minutes. The fee is per session, not per hour — a 90-minute session costs the same as a 60-minute one.

Insurance and Medisave
Some insurance plans include mental health benefits, and coverage varies a great deal between insurers — we recommend checking your policy directly before your first session. Medisave currently cannot be used for outpatient counselling in Singapore.
If your employer offers an EAP
Many employers fund counselling through an Employee Assistance Programme, which typically covers a number of sessions at little or no cost to you. It is worth asking your HR team whether one is in place before paying out of pocket. We provide EAP services to organisations in Singapore.
If our fees are more than you can manage
We would rather say this plainly than lose you to a page that dances around it: our fees are mid-range for private practice in Singapore, and we are not the cheapest way to see a therapist. If cost is the thing standing between you and support, these routes exist and are worth using — several are subsidised or means-tested:
- Community organisations — Fei Yue Community Services, TOUCH Community Services, Community Psychology Hub and Silver Ribbon (Singapore) all offer counselling at lower or subsidised rates.
- Your GP or polyclinic can refer you into subsidised public mental-health services.
- Your employer’s EAP, as above — often the fastest no-cost route if one exists.
- School or university counselling, if you or your child are enrolled.
Getting support somewhere is better than not getting it here.
